The purpose of joining a MLM is to build a downline of members who purchase the product each month. You earn commissions on these sales several layers deep in the matrix. You usually earn “fast start” money from your personal referrees when they sign-up. In the case of WebProsperity, you earn the same commission each month that your personally sponsored members are in the program. You then receive a smaller commission on their enrollees, to 15 levels.

So the first advantage of a paid membership is to set an example for your prospects, or free affiliate members. You certainly can’t convince others to upgrade to a paying position if you are not a paid member yourself! A downline of free affiliates and $1.25 might get you a cup of coffee.

The next advantage of paid membership is access to all of the companies resources and tools. They are designed to help you build your business. It it a good ideas to attend the weekly web seminars and training sessions. Not only will you learn a lot, you will have the opportunity to meet and form relationships with other members.

Finally, with pain membership you will be invited to join teams, who can accomplish much more than any individual. This fosters the exchange of ideas and knowledge, and advertising coops can be formed.

These are only a few of the advantages of paid membership, but will do for now. The primary message is, without paid members, there is no MLM, no downline, no matrix, and no profit.

WebProsperity - Free Ways To Promote Part II

Here is part two of the Free Advertising Methods series. I’m
just going to cover one category here, because it is such a
huge and widely used genre.

Traffic Exchanges:
There are hundreds of traffic exchanges and link exchanges,
and I have a listing of a few of the biggest and best at the
bottom of this message. They can be an effective way of building
your downline if used consistantly, and I know of people who
use this free method almost exclusively.

How It Works:
When you join a traffic exchange, you either run a small ad
or just list your websites or affiliate sites. Then you “surf”
by viewing other members’ sites. This is the free way of
earning credits. When other members view your site(s), your
credits are deducted. Some exchanges will give you a 1:1 ratio
of credits earned/spent by surfing. On others you may have to
click 2 or 3 times to earn 1 credit.

It would seem that everyone is there just to get
visitors to their opportunity or sales page, without really
taking any interest in the sites that they surf for credits.
And often this is true. But sometimes a surfer spots something
that he/she has been looking for, or gets unhappy with their
MLM or Network Marketing company, and is looking for another
to take it’s place. Where better to look than at an exchange
that they are familiar with.

Other ways to earn credits:
All major Traffic Exchanges have an Affiliate Program, in
which their members can earn credits, and even money, by
referring others to join the exchange. Sometimes you will
get a one-time credit bonus for each new member that you refer,
sometimes you can earn credits from your referrals’ surfing
activities.

Upgrades:
Most traffic exchanges offer paid Upgrades. For a monthly fee
you usually get a set amount of credits each month, as well
as a better clicks ratio. This is how you can earn money. As
an upgraded member, when you refer someone who upgrades, you
earn a commission as well as additional credits! Upgrades can
range from about $4.00 per month to $30.00 or more. The more
you pay, the more credits and perks you get. As you begin to
make money online, you may find this better than spending hours
surfing every day. You will have more important things to spend your
time on.

Purchase Credits:
You can also simply purchase credits, as well as text ad and
banner impressions.

Link Exchanges:
I’ll cover these in more detail in another message. The
difference between the two is that your all activity is done
at the site with the Traffic Exchanges. Link exchanges will
fill your email inbox with offers from other members, and
your offer will appear in their email in turn. These are often
run by owners of “safe lists”. I personally shy away from this
traffic method, but it seems to work well for some people.

WebProsperity - Realities of MLM

Realities of MLM and WebProsperity…

Below is an e-mail exchange between myself and a member of my WebProsperity downline. I have deleted his name to protect his privacy, but let’s call him Jim for convenience.  He joined the program originally under someone else, then re-joined with 2 positions under me in early January. I don’t know why he wanted multiple positions, with multiple monthly fees, but I have a theory. Greed. Expecting massive spillover, he could triple his income. Not a bad gamble, actually, but based on unsound principles. I’m a little surprised that WebProsperity allows multiple positions, other than the scenario covered in the comp plan, when one has maxed out the 15 level matrix.

Jim spotted one of my Google Pay Per Click ads that I was running during the pre-launch, and decided to create another position (2 actually) in my organization. He got my email address from this blog, as that is where I was directing traffic to at that time.  I hadn’t had time to set up a lead capture page yet, and in this blog I gave out my contact information and asked sign ups to contact me. The ones who contacted me are shepards, the rest are sheep. In other words, that separates the doers from the dreamers and tells me who to spend my time on.

Jim has some marketing experience but not too much technical expertise. He had a sales page and a domain name, but had run into trouble setting it up on the hosting server. As everything was in a time crunch because of the impending Launch, I had him send it to me and I published it on my server. I even directed some of my PPC keywords toward it, and he ended up with 5 free sign ups by launch time.

Here is the email exchange which occurred the morning after the official launch on Jan. 30, when the free sign ups who hadn’t secured their positions were compressed out, and the matrixes were formed:

Thanks for the help, but it didn’t help.
I expected spillover, but got none.
My 5 personal enrollees never upgraded.
I am personally glad that they didn’t upgrade for
they too would have wasted their money on false expectation.
So I ended up with none in my downline.
In my original WebProsperity account, I got two downline members, and $2.00 (that’s all).
So I will be cancelling out all 3 of my WebProsperity accounts.

I have my own hosting account now.  Just $10 for a year.
I have used the service of xxxxxxxxxxxxx in the past.
So I am now sending traffic to (another new MLM)  (consider taking a look at it).

I can image the quality of hosting one would get for $10 per year. Hopefully he meant per month. People buy fireworks from a tent, not Cadillacs. Anyway, my reply:

Hello Jim, I hope you won’t be too hasty to cancel, at least wait until just before your next payment is due, and think about keeping one account. I’m not sure everything is settled yet. I’m going to do some checking today.
 
Even if we didn’t get the spillover we expected, you will NEVER be in any other program with experience marketers in your immediate upline who are willing to work with you, and give you the personal coaching, that you will receive here. Network marketing is not get rich quick, it is for building a lasting residual income over a period of time. The team you are on here is going to build a huge organization over the next 2 years, and as an active General is that organization you will have access to Internet Marketing coaching that many people pay thousands of dollars for. There will be SEO and Advertising co-ops run by professional and successful marketers who know what they are doing. Of course, this will require some effort on your part.
 
I am currently building squeeze pages that will allow you to capture the names and e-mail addresses of your prospects. This will enable you to market to them even if they don’t sign up for WebProsperity, which is just good business.  If you really want to make money online, you can’t have the mindset that you can make money just by joining a MLM, or that one feeble attempt at driving untargeted traffic to one sales page is going to do it. You need a complete and effective sales funnel and business model. You now have inside access to experts who can help you set these things up. It all depends on how committed you are to making money online. But you won’t ever find yourself in this unique situation again. This team will guide you along the way and teach you how to build an effective sales funnel while avoiding the mistakes and pitfalls. You just need to do what they tell you, step by step, and be patient. Good things will happen. I asked Jim to reconsider his decision for his own good, not because I need him on my team. My team will be just fine, I just hate to see someone with potential jump from one MLM to another hoping to fall into a pot of gold. As long as he has this mindset, he will never succeed in any program. The program does not make people successful, people make the program successful. Spillover is nice, but do not join a network marketing company expecting to benefit from the hard work of your sponsor and upline. You own your business, and it’s success rests on your shoulders. If you work hard, you will earn a spot on the team, and your upline will gladly help you any way they can. But don’t expect them to do everything for you. There is only so much time in the day, and they will focus their attention on those who really want to make their opportunity work. 

I don’t want to sound harsh, but these are the realities of MLM, or Network Marketing. This post may dissuade some people from joining, but we don’t want to take your money for a few months and wave goodbye. We want to help people who want to be successful and will put out the effort necessary to realize their dreams. Most MLM’s will promise you the moon and show you pictures of fancy cars and huge houses, and tell you how easy it is to make $10,000 per month just by signing up for their opportunity. They will take your money for as long as you will send it to them. The fact that I’m telling you the realities of MLM shows you the quality of the people you will be working with if you join WebProsperity as a member of our WebProsperous team.

Many internet marketers would say that telling it like it is will result in business suicide, and no one will sign up. Maybe so, but I’ll sleep good tonight. So if you want to join a quality organization and become an active member of a great team, you can do it here! Or you can sign up for the next greatest thing since sliced bread, send them your money for a few months, then rinse and repeat. It’s up to you.

Web Prosperity - Residual Income

Residual Income - Definition
Do you know the definition of Residual Income? Also known as passive income,  it is income that pays you over and over for performing an action one time. This differs from direct sales, where you take one action and get one result.

When someone is marketing an e-book, a bicycle, or any product, they set up a sales system, run ads, whatever it takes to sell that item. They may sell many of them, and there is nothing wrong with that, but if they want to sell something else they have to start all over again. When you join a Network Marketing Company, or sign up as an affiliate for a membership site, etc. you earn on your enrollees for every month that they remain in the program. You recruit one time, but get paid over and over again. Not only that, but you can often earn from their efforts as well!

As your downline grows, this results in a steadily increasing monthly commission check. Eventually, you could replace your work-a-day  salary with this residual income!

Viral Downline
In a Network Marketing company, your organization eventually becomes “viral”. This means that your members begin to grow their own downlines,  and your organization begins to grow on its own, with little additional effort on your part. Your residual income can continue to come in for years, while you take vacations, spend time with your family and friends, play golf, or whatever you like to do in your spare time.

Due Diligence

If you decide that you like the idea of building a residualincome, don’t just jump on the first opportunity that you run across! Perform your “due diligence”, just as if you were buying a car or house. In other words, check it out.

Search for network marketing or MLM on the internet and read reviews of several companies before making your decision. Professional sales copy writers use many tactics, including emotional triggers, that can get you excited and make you want to reach for the “Pay” button on the spot! Stop, don’t. Think about it for a couple of days and make a rational decision.

Stay away from anyone who tells you that all you have to do is join, pay your monthly fee, and they will make you richwith no effort on your part. This is bull. When you join any network marketing opportunity, you are the owner of your own business. Nothing good is going to happen unless you make it happen. Anyone who tells you different is lying. They just want your monthly membership fee for as long as you are fool
enough to send it to them!

When you finally choose a company with which to build your residual income, immediately contact you sponsor, or respond if he/she  contacts you. They are there to help you, but they can’t do it if you are not willing to communicate with them.

If you can’t make contact with your sponsor, try other upline members. If you have problems finding anyone to talk with, get out! Try another company. There are good ones out there, you just have take the time to find them. Remember, this is a big move on your part, and you want your first experieice with Network Marketing to be a positive one!

Don’t Expect To Build a Residual Income In a Few Weeks!
Building a residual income is going to take some time. There is no get rich quick, so be patient and grow a quality organization. Your goal is to find two or three motivated individuals and help them grow their downlines. Eventually, you will be able to sit back and watch it take on a life of
its own. It’s a beautiful thing to see. And by then you will have achieved a true residual income.

WebProsperity-Free Ways To Promote Part I

If you are new to Network Marketing, you're probably wondering how to build your organization without spending a fortune on Pay Per Click or Ezine solo ads. These are effective paid advertising mediums, but if you haven't spent some time learning how to use them you can lose a lot of money with little to show for it. While I recommend that you learn all you can about these methods, it's best to start with free and inexpensive ways to promote your opportunity. Here are a few ways to begin if you have more time than money.

First of all, learn to create and use signature files. They will be used in your outgoing emails and forum posts. You can set it up in your Email provider “Options” or personalization area. Here are a few examples that I use for WebProsperity:

Ready to say “goodbye” to your boss?
Your Affiliate URL for example: http://YourUserName.webprosperity.com replacing “YourUserName” with your WP user name.

Not enough month at the end of your bills?
Your affiliate URL

Need extra cash?
Your affiliate URL

Just use you imagination and “swipe” ideas from the emails that you receive. Here’s one that I ran across in my inbox a few months ago.

Put the lime in the coconut

It didn’t have a thing in the world to do with this guy’s business, but it caught my attention and I clicked on it to see where it would take me! Of course, you can use signature files to promote any business.

TIP: Do you ever receive jokes, petitions, and good luck emails that urge you to pass it own to everyone on your contact list? Well, pass it on! Even if you only send to five people, they will send to other people who will send to people you never heard of. It goes “viral” and your signature file could be seen by thousands of people! You might want to start creating those things yourself.

Post to Forums - First of all, join “The Warrior Forum”. Created by genius marketer Allen Says, this is where the Internet Marketing world hangs out. You can get an entire education there for free and find ebooks on any marketing subject as a bargain price. Like any other forum, ask questions, answer questions, or just post intelligent comments. Don’t promote your opportunity directly, let your signature file take care of that. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions of any forum that you join to make sure that they allow signature files with URLs.

Do Google searches for forums in these categories: Home Based Business, Work From Home, MLM, Network Marketing, etc. Try to post to five forums per day. Consistency is the key to success. People will begin to recognize your name and view you as an expert in your field.

Next, join a few community sites like MySpace and Facebook. Set up your profile and use the same forumla as the forums. Be helpful and informative in your posts and let the signature file do the selling. I recommend joining AdLandPro. It is a business community where you can build a large list of “friends” who promote to each other. But they also have forums where you can promote your business directly, even using full page ads with graphics if you wish. You are invited to list your business in many of them. And they have a free classifieds section.

Permission Emails: The best place is InetGiant. You can place free ads here yourself, but the idea is to read ads placed by others. Write a dynamic sales pitch for yout MLM and send it to the author of the ad (there will be a contact link, which opens a comment box).  Be aware, if you run your own classifieds, you will receive permission emails from others, especially AutomaticBuilder and the BerryTree!

There are other free and inexpensive advertising methods that I will address in a later post, and I’ll include a sample script for your permission emails. I think you have enough to keep you busy for now! WebProsperity Launched!

The WebProsperity Launch

The hottest new money-making opportunity to hit the web in years has now opened its doors! WebProsperity launched on time at noon US Eastern Standard Time and everything went pretty smoothly. This is due to the know-how of the people on D’Arcangelo’s team. There are often many technical problems with launches and often the server even goes down!

There was a little glitch in the payment process where the payment seemed to take hours to verify. The screen with the little rotating ball wouldn’t go away. But when I checked my email, I found my confirmation email. It’s amazing that it went that well as thousands of people were trying to pay at the same time. The pre-launch produced about 100,000 thousand enrollees!

I’ m glad that the pre-launch is over, so I can get some sleep! I pushed on relentlessly from New Year’s day ’til the launch to build my Personally Sponsor group. Time was too short to build a full blown recruiting campaign, but with a lot of help from members of The WebProsperous Team, I still did pretty well. With all the big names in the industry that signed up, the “buzz” was pretty loud and a lot of people figured that these guys know what they’re doing and jumped on.

Time To Move Forward

Now that the free sign-up period is over, it’s time to move on to the next phase. Naturally, new enrollees won’t be coming in at nearly the rate that they did back then, but that’s a good thing. It’s time now to focus on the quality of the people joining your organization. You will need movers and doers, motivated individuals who will help you build an active and vibrant downline. The selling point of “getting in on the Ground Floor” is still valid. So, if you haven’t signed up yet, I recommend that you do so soon. You are losing positions every day that you delay. The Site

The Members’ Area (otherwise known as the “backoffice”), is attractive and uncluttered with big round selection buttons that  direct you to other parts of the site. You can check your downline stats, contact your personally sponsored group, access the software like the autoresponder and audio/video services. I was less than impressed with the Affiliate Resources page, and assume that it will be expanded. At this time it contains 4 banners. While the training of less experienced downline members falls on their sponsor and upline, it would help to have sections and articles on such basic tecniques as forum posting, free classifieds, ezine ads, etc. so as to free up our time for more advanced topics.

This Is Just The Beginning

The end of the free sign up phase simply marks the beginning of our adventure with WebProsperity. There will be co-ops, conference calls, Skype team meetings. There will be books to read and videos to watch. The contacts that you make now, the fantastic new people that you meet, will help you shape your future, and will be of great benefit to you at some point, if not immediately. This in itself is a very good reason to give WebProsperity a try. Communicate, get to know each other, exchange ideas and recipes. Business, online or off, is all about relatioships. You can build some great ones here!
